Pair of shoes worn by the stunt double for King Richard, actor George Sanders in the 1954 film King Richard & The Crusaders. While leading the Third Crusade, King Richard the Lionheart (George Sanders) battles treachery in his own camp as well as the Saracens and their charismatic leader Emir Hderim Sultan Saladin (Sir Rex Harrison). These shoes were worn by the actors stunt double, and are made of a dark brown suede over leather, with a rubber sole. The shoes have been covered din real metal chainmail that matches the leg armor worn by the character and feature leather laces. These items are labeled “King Richard Double” WWC 11-111/2 and remain in excellent, production used condition.
