Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy Vogon Animatronic Face

Large animatronic Vogon face featured in the production of 2005 science fiction comedy Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Mere seconds before the Earth is to be demolished by an alien construction crew, journeyman Arthur Dent is swept off the planet by his friend Ford Prefect, a researcher penning a new edition of “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”

This beautiful full-sized head was created by the “Jim Henson Creature Shop” in London. This specific Vogon can be matched to the scene in the film where the main cast is being held in a Vogon prison cell, being brought there by “Soldier #3”. The head is made of foam latex stretched over a custom made clear acrylic skeletal armature. The foam latex mask is in incredible condition, and is still plump, with no hardening or cracking. The head features a set of two very detailed glass eyes and faux resin teeth, that when controlled inside the mask mimic the Vogon speaking. The inside of the mask features a metal armature to hold it’s shape, with electronics that light the LED’s on the mouth and the ear sections which are still in working condition. The Resin grill on the mouth can be taken off via two screws on the sides, and the item comes with a set of two smoked black plexi glass covers that cover the eyes, both of which were switched out during filming.

The face is accompanied by a custom made case from Jim Henson studios that has a molded foam latex inside that is covered by a black satin cloth. The blue canvas case has two sewn on patches from the Kim Henson Studios indicating this particular Vogon was names “Solider #3”. The animatronic head is in excellent, screen used condition.

Due to the size and fragility of the item, shipping will be calculated after the purchase of the item and invoiced separately.
